...is the owner and primary restoration expert of Geppetto's.
European-trained (but America-raised), Bernice has mastered many facets of the nearly forgotten craft of hand restoration. She loves to work with clients who want to extend the life (and preserve the history) of their cherished antique furniture and woodwork.
After years of evaluating pieces for clients, Bernice says that people often don't know whether it's worth restoring something — and how to decide. “Often, someone loves a piece because it has sentimental value. Sometimes there is a story to be preserved.”
Bernice also helps people decide how much effort to invest in “that flea market find.”
